Integration of Solar Process Heat in Industries: A Review

Industrial manufacturing approaches are associated with processing materials that consume a significant amount of thermal energy, termed as industrial process heat. sectors substantial energy for heating over wide range temperatures (up to 400 °C) from agriculture, HVAC power plants. However, the intensive application fossil fuels causes unfavorable environmental effects cannot be ignored. To address this issue, green sources have manifested their potential economical and pollution-free sources. Nevertheless, adoption solar systems is still limited due lack knowledge in design/installation aspects, reluctance experience technical/infrastructural changes, low price fuels, relative incentives. For successful heat integration industries, proper understanding design factors essential. This paper comprehensively reviews strategies systems, appraisal points, different aspects collectors, installed power, storage volume covering case studies, reports reviews. The heat, findings, obstacles several projects literature also highlighted. Finally, locations SHIP compared find out most used point certain sector operation. It was found food, beverage, agriculture sector, 51% occurs at supply level 27.3% process-level.
